Vintage buckles, buttons, beads and ribbons provide the foundation for Jane’s work.
Jane’s ever growing collection of hand-me-down haberdashery is endless. Bakelite buckles, vintage glass button sample cards, rolls of WWII medal ribbon and 100’s of colour coded plastic buttons grace her Newtown studio.
Her avid op-shopping habit, keen eye at antique fairs and the steady flow of gifts from others mothers and grandmothers button boxes provides limitless resources and inspiration.
Jane also uses a hand spun string made from a natural fibre in some of her pieces.
